Bhai Jagta Ji

India Post Released a Commemorative postal stamp for "Bhai Jagta ji" on 15th January 2012. Bhai Jagta Ji was an Apostle of Peace, a practicing equalitarian, a true renunciant, a uniquely endowed Gnostic and a most compassionate and forgiving soul. He was a true picture of a Saint as described by Guru Arjan Dev Ji in the ‘Sukhmani Sahib’ prayer. He was revered by kings, maharajas, saints, the general public, the handicapped, the poor, and even by unlawful people, alike. He even helped people who disliked him, maligned him, cursed at him or even stole from him. Witnessing his glory in the area, and because of his piety, dedication, service and benevolence, he was anointed Spiritual Preceptor of the ‘Seva Panthi’ Order of Saints by Bhai Bhalla Ram Ji. He was the 5th spiritual incarnation of Bhai Kanhaiya Ji. His service at the Noorpur Thal Tikana was so highly significant that when the Tikana was re-established, upon the partition of India in 1947, the 10th spiritual incarnate of Bhai Kanhaiya Ji, Mahant Bhai Gulab Singh Ji respectfully named the Tikana Sahib at Goniana Mandi, in honor of Bhai Jagta Ji. This Tikana is the Pre-eminent Center of Service within the Seva Panthi Order of Saints. The Tikana follows the traditions of the Noorpur Tikana, as established by Bhai Jagta Ji, serving humanity, without regard to caste, creed or religion.

India Post Released a First Commemorative postal stamp of 2012 for "Puran Chand Gupta" on 02nd January 2012.Puran Chandra Gupta,a freedom fighter was Born on January 2, 1912, in a small family in Kalpi village of Bundelkhand.He is a freedom fighter with a revolutionary zeal, a journalist with entrepreneurial skills and above all a loving family man — that perhaps sums up the personality of Puran Chandra Gupta, a visionary who gave a new direction to Hindi journalism with the establishment of the Jagran newspaper group.India and is immensely popular for its Hindi daily ‘DAINIK JAGRAN’ Promoted in 1942, "Dainik Jagran" is currently ranked as the No. 1 Hindi newspaper in India.The newspaper covers a vast geographical area comprising the states of UP, Uttaranchal, Punjab, Bihar, Delhi, Harayana, Jharkhand, M.P. and parts of Rajasthan .
